- Rare matching pair of carved
Black Forest rabbit heads with glass eyes. Heads of animals
were often carved and sold in pairs, but they are infrequently
found together now. These are angled in slightly opposite
directions, allowing them to face toward or away from one another.
Rabbit heads are much harder to find than those of deer
and some other animals. Original paint with very little wear.
Swiss, circa 1890-1910. Plaque made for display only
and not for sale. Heads will hang on wall. Apprx.
