- Small cabinet with ornate
reticulated doors and exterior carvings. Drawers are chamfered
and have unusual dovetailed construction. Carved feet. Purpose
unknown, although possibly a ladies cabinet for jewelry. The
slot in the top may have been used to attach a small mirror.
There was a piece broken off on one top front corner that has
been reset. We chose not to sand the top down to make it less
visible, but that easily could be done and the top then re-stained
with a dark walnut stain. Origin uncertain, very possibly European.
Probably dates to the Victorian period. (CH-22)
