- Cast iron betty lamp holder
in the form of a bird. The pointed end of this piece would have
been driven into a beam or a wooden wall and the grease lamp
suspended from the hook under the bird. The piece probably dates
to the 18th or early 19th century and remains in excellent original
condition. It is shown in a hand-made holder to simulate the
manner in which it would have been used. 8" L. (CI - 9)
