Crooked Knife With Pewter Wrap

Another fine 19th century crooked knife with great chip carving and several hearts carved on the underside of the handle. Rather than wire, the maker used a sheet of pewter to secure the blade. We have seen other knives made in this fashion but it is uncommon and may indicate that it was not made by a Native American. Approx. 7" long. (CM-6)
