- Another fine 19th century
crooked knife with great chip carving and several hearts carved
on the underside of the handle. Rather than wire, the maker used
a sheet of pewter to secure the blade. We have seen other knives
made in this fashion but it is uncommon and may indicate that
it was not made by a Native American. Approx. 7" long. (CM-6)
