- Very unusual relief carving
of a Rockville Centre, Long Island, N.Y. home. Original paint,
probably over some gesso enhancement. The frame was made
in a house form, with a peak, and has wear to the gold paint .
A partially illegible notation on the back identifies the address,
the date it was done (1932), and indicates it was made "by
Henry". We located a photo of the house taken in 2017
on-line which shows it to be painted gray and have second story
additions over the two end rooms. Otherwise, the house
is identical. A most unique folk art item. 13" to peak of
frame x 20" wide. (CH-19)
