Miniature Log Sled

Miniature log sled with a yoke for pulling. Finely detailed. Square nail construction. Possibly a salesman's sample. More likely, it may have been constructed by a logger in logging camp as a gift for his son. 19th century. Sled is 12 ¾" long and yoke 8". Saw logs were typically hauled out of the woods in sleds like this pulled by oxen or horses in the wintertime when snow was on the ground. Found in Michigan. (CK-6)
