- Great folky pair of very
large painted lobster claws with attached cloth hats intended
to represent early seamen. New England seacoast origin,
circa late 19th-early 20th century. Probably made by a sailor
or lobsterman. Painted on both sides. Hard to find
these in early paint and most uncommon to find a matching pair.
Larger one measures apprx. 14" from tip of jaw to top of
hat when extended and smaller one measures apprx. 13" between
the same points. (BT-38)
