Salmon Plaque

Unusual birch bark replica of a landlocked salmon caught in Lake Champlain.  Fish was traced on birch bark, cut out, painted and placed on a fine wood plaque in a deliberately curled form to simulate life.  History available of original catch.  Circa 1930-40. Fish is approximately 24" long and curls out 2 -3" from the plaque at the tips of the head and tail. Plaque is approximately 36" long and approximately 15" high.  (CG-6)
