- Excellent carving of a Bobwhite
Quail found in Pennsylvania. Original paint with wear on
back right as shown in second and fourth photos and small spot
on end of beak. Slightly larger than life size. 7"
tall, including base, and 9" long. Carved by Carl
Forslund of Grand Rapids, Michigan, or one of his employees,
probably in the late 3rd or 4th quarter of the 20th century.
Forslund was a furniture maker who carved birds, including gamebirds,
in his spare time. (CH-5)
