Early Singing Bird Carving

Early carving of a singing bird mounted on a branch. Found in central NY State. carved from hardwood, possibly walnut, with incised detail. Note the bird’s tongue is carved. Tail section had old separation which was securely reset, almost invisibly. Stands approximately 8" tall. Circa early 20th century. (CE-1)
