- Great folk art papier mache
festival mask with specially constructed display stand. 6
3/4" tall by 5 1/2" wide. The mask reputedly
is from Mexico, possibly worn in the annual festival celebrating
the Day of the Dead. The size of the mask suggests
that it would have been worn by a child. It is quite early,
possibly dating to the 19th century, and has wear and minor losses
that are age-appropriate. (CE-27)
