- Magnificent carving of a
horse with raised left forefoot. Carving details include a horseshoe
on that foot, along with a saddle, blanket, and bridle in relief.
A metal bit is in the horse's mouth with rings on either side.
It would appear that there was a barely noticeable break in the
left rear lower leg, which is now secure. Otherwise, there is
only some very minor wear. Signed on the base by F.G. Dieterich
and dated 1929. Horse stands 8 ¾" tall (to tip of
ears) and is 8 ½" long. Probably from Pennsylvania
or Ohio. (CK- 4)
