- Fine small Pennsylvania blanket
chest bearing bold floral decorations very similar to those featured
by Johannes Ranck (1765-1828) of Dauphin (now Lebanon) County,
Pa. on blanket and dower chests. We are unable to make that attribution,
but this piece was at least decorated "after" those
by Ranck and probably dates to the early-mid 19th century. Nice
clean interior with intact till. Has some wear, especially to
the feet. The smaller size (36 ¾"L x 13 5/8"W
x 19" H) is great. (CD-15)
