with bold painted decoration. 17"L x 6 ½" H
x 7 ½" W. Bears the date 1937, as shown, which may
be the date on which a new coat of paint was applied or touch
ups done. The hinges also have quite obviously been relocated.
The box clearly dates to the early-mid 19th century. (CG-16)
