- Miniature Revolutionary War
era Rundlet found in Upstate New York. Quite rare. Made of
maple with pine ends. Both ends have old, dry reddish paint.
2-2/8" L x 1-1/2"-1-3/4" W. Probably turned
on a pole lathe. The hole was open when we purchased it and
we fashioned a plug which is easily removable. It probably was
used to house a rifleman's gunpowder, although it could have
been used for a couple of shots of liquor. It would have been
kept in the owner's pouch or haversack. (CS-20)
